Granite cup
Tea or coffee cup This series consists mainly of serving pieces while making a special nod to the art of slowing down with two sorts of tea cups. All pieces are wheel thrown or formed by hand. The aesthetic of the granite clay is highlighted with a simple transparent glaze. The surface treatment consists of paper stencils and underglazes. Glazed and fired to 2200°F/1200°C, this clay lends itself to regular use and is best maintained by hand washing. It is NOT microwave safe!
